Judges comments - September 2018

'Their standard menu goes into good detail: GF, vegan, or vegetarian with respective options for all. Well thought out and presented clearly. No mention of other allergens and when I asked for an allergen menu they told me there wasn't one but when I phoned afterwards the manager said they did have an allergen menu detailing the 14, and that she'd speak to staff to make sure they understood. This is a real shame as otherwise the staff training was rather good.

Service felt a bit all over the place but it was VERY busy. However, once we finally got a waitress she was very helpful, as were the subsequent staff I spoke to. They were good about verbally identifying the GF DF food.

The food was good without being exceptional but was good value.

The staff had a good attitude and there was clear they knew what they were doing regarding cross contamination and the importance of safe food. A very inclusive place to eat where you don't feel at all weird and there's a good range of GF and DF food. Not so much choice for multiple intolerants, but they were willing to mix and match and I think it would be a safe bet for a family outing with an allergic child.'
