Judges comments - July/August 2017

'The staff were very welcoming. They offer a selection of starters and some cold desserts on the separate gluten free menu. They had an extensive fish menu including haddock, cod, salmon, hake, calamari, sole, plaice, redfish and prawns which all could be served gluten free. It states on the menu that they can provide further information on other allergens and the staff were very informed and aware when introducing the special GF Menu.'

'The Fish and Chips was excellent: the batter was crispy, thick and crunchy with flaky soft white fish inside. The Mushy Peas were hot and the generous portion of Chips were delightful. Whilst not a cheap option, it felt special as a good family restaurant. The service was excellent and the portions very generous. My non-Coeliac friend didn't even realised that he was enjoying gluten free fish and chips!'

From reserving online (with a great confirmation and information) to the excellent GF Fish & Chip meal (with a really wide selection of options on a separate menu), I felt valued and looked after. The service with a smile and the quality of the food makes for a great GF restaurant!'
